It feels like I'm walking on marsh mellows. Size chart is a general guide. I decided to order my new sometimes go to size 8M up from my size of 7.5M hoping they wouldn't be to large. I would also like to mention that I was disappointed with customer service. I need a good tread for hiking light to medium trails (flat, inclines, rocky, gravel) and also for walking in my hilly neighborhood on asphalt. But Ive worn only Rykas for some years now. I walk around 3 acres several times to get in 3 miles a day and that's like a trail. 
These shoes are okay for walking on the treadmill. Ordered these in my usual size (7), but they were a little snug.
