The DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor eliminates the large QWERTY keyboard for asmaller more portable design, so the function button area includes only the controls you need for editing. I mentioned what a pleasure it is to type on but beyond that, the Scroll Dial has to be my favorite part of the keyboard. Simply shoot your subject with awide or mid shot, and then when close up is applied, it will create aslightly zoomed in version of the same camera shot and place it on top of thetimeline. While this is a great transition to have available, it doesnt work invisibly very often in any NLE and, more often than not, editors try toavoidit! And they work the same both on the Cut and Edit page. For example: why doesnt the CUT key add an edit when youre not parked on a transition. With multiple roller bearings, the search dial is very smooth and it can be spun in jog mode to allow anatural timeline scroll. It should. Numeric duration entry is one of the most used functions!

I well realized many high-end suites that would spring for this keyboard arent doing a lot of web surfing but there are other applications you must use outside of Resolve and those apps need to scroll.
